No, he wasn't my boyfriend, that was my friend Gerald helping me get my bike home.

hahaha - oh no - you opened it up now..... Girl in distress with no BF. They are going to attack!

But seriously - NO ONE but CLOSE friends ride my bikes.... I have let Clint (roomate), and Dragin (Steve) ride my bike so far - thats it! There are only a couple more I would trust enough to add to that list.

there's always a deal with whoever rides my bike. if they wreck it, i have there's until mine is replaced or repaired. and vice versa should i wreck their bike.

and their bike has to be equivalent in value too. so far, i've only let 3 people ride my bike.

Did you know that guy really good? Seems like you gave the keys to someone you don't really know well. Hope it works out for you.

UPDATE: Well I dropped my bike off at Barney's this past week. They call today with the bad news today.... It's $9,500.27 worth of damage. Good news is, I remembered the night he wrecked my bike that he said he had Geico insurance so I called them and needless to say he will be claiming it on his insurance.

$9,500!!! Holy crap, isn't that basically totalled? Is it a 600? Those bikes brand new are way less than $9,500. I think Barneys' owner is having a steak dinner tonight!

Holy Cow!

What did he do... run it into 3 or 4 other bikes?

How in the world did the damages get so high?

It is bullshit. What Barney's will do is find every single piece that has a scratch or is even dirty and then say that it needs to be replaced. You have to specifically tell them just to get a quote on how much it'd cost to make it rideable. After I wrecked my Aprilia, they quoted me about $15,000 to fix it. The damn thing isn't even worth that much! With a few extras like exhaust and a steering damper, its only cost me $4700 so far to fix and the parts are all either brand new or barely used. Hell, it's going to look better than it did before I wrecked!
