Default Cruiser bike v Sport bikes

I'm new to cycles and im lookin at getting a suzuki blvd c50, or an sv. My question is: Are Crusing bike "safer" than a sport bike? and do you have experiences you can share about suzukis. especially the (volusia/blvd series)

Well with those types of bikes your in a better riding position. You can see around yourself better sitting upright on a cruiser

I like feet first bikes versus the head first position, which at least seems safer to me, plus I can put fat pipes on a cruiser and make my neighbors piss the bed. Which is more comfortable? I'll probably use this bike for my 1.5 commute sometimes.

can't see anyone having a tough choice between cruiser or sport bike. usually it's clear one way or the other.

Cruiser crew checking in. Buy a cruiser if you're looking at fat pipes and commuting.

Oh, and no bike is any safer than the other. It all depends on how you ride. If you plan on speeding like an animal, a sport bike would technically be safer since it's designed to do that. Speed + cruisers = hurt.
