Default gearing question

k, i have a 6 and i suck at clutches and my ill-power 6 with me on it is incapable of power ups so here's the deal. do i sell mine and get bigger bike or do i gear the piss out of mine?? does gearing it up help with power ups.??? im wondering if mine would come up under power??? any info would be appreciated very mutch...

Check www.stuntlife.com Lots of info there. They usually agree that power wheelies suck and you should always use the clutch. Using the clutch is a lot more predictable. gearing would help but you should be able to wheelie just about any 600 in 1st or 2nd without any gearing.

i am acually on it on another link. i posted the same topic in both sites i seem to be getting better responce on stunt life. u a member on there??? yea i know they hate the simplisity of crackin it open and letting it come up other than caluculating RPM bullsheet.

I bet if you geared that 600 enough to power wheelie you'd have a top end of 80mph. Prolly better off using the clutch.

yeah i know itll be slow top speed but i dont care, im going to turn that bike into a stunt bike anyway,its a slow overall 600 so i suck in races exept aginst cars. i figure ill get an busa or an R1 later on to race on but i need $$ for that... ill just be slow for now (top end wise) 0-80 ill kick ass tho!! lol JK .

man to think bout it my bike needs alot of shit...
new front and back brake pads and tires, oil change ,new sparks,new rear brake lever,im goinna have to get sporcet kit, cage, insurance...AH to mutch money and i have none, i aply brakes i hear metal scraping, its raining? i slide on baulds, used ass 2000+ miles oil haha i abuse i guess dont tel;l anyone tho if i put it up for sale on hear. :bbb: :bbb: thank fellaz for the advice and coments, by the way im GPcrew on SL, im ushally on there more often cause its all bikes and not just one part of the forum but i still come on hear mabee once a day... peace out, FTP

My Gsxr600 is geared 2 teeth down in the front and it sucks. The bike is screaming on the interstate. I bought it like that but i'm having the sproket put back to stock.

My Magna with 1 tooth down in front and 2 teeth up in back SCREAMS on the highway. On the interstate it's at a constant 6500rpm through quad wide open drag pipes. It's basically unbearable.
