I'm headed to MMI in April of 05, and I was just wondering if there were any guys here that go there now or have graduated? Just wanted to know how they felt about it. (Yanno' the pros and cons)

Hmm, I thought about it. 18 grand for 1 year of school and a set of tools was too rich for me. Give it a try if thats what you want to do.

not MMI, but NTI, which is the same school just for cars. I was supposed to go last nov. but they fucked me over with bs financing and all, so it didnt work out but my buddy went he said it was ok...not what he expected but it turned out in the middle to be alot more enjoyable from middle to end. I've thought about going for MMI but now im working as a forklift mech. so ill prolly stick with industrial.

How'd ya get screwed on financing? PLEASE lemme know something cause if they screw me, I might have to set that bitch on fire!

Well, my roommate I had went a month before me. And some of the paper work has like a 60-90 day experation with the financing so they do it like 1-2 months before your starting date. Well they shipped me papers for financing but only foro 6 months of school to be financed. So I told them straight up that I want it all done as 1 loan cause Im not going to NC on a 1yr lease on an apt. and only have 6 months of school paid up for not knowing about the other half. So they say ok and whatever they will redo it and send it back out to me over night. Well it wasnt over nighted and it was standard mail or w.e BUT IT WAS THE SAME FINANCING PAPER WORK TO THE "T"!!! 6 months not the whole school term. So I simply told them they dont want my 25,000$ then I would find a school local that will do it right.

Due to them prolonging my financing I lost my roommate cause I simply couldnt hold him back with there BS. So I got nothing but the run around and I dont take that crap its that simple im a simple person and something on the grounds of money and my personal shit ect. I dont take lighty and wont be dicked around with about it.

no biggie im a forklift mech. now...so all is good for me. Started at $14.80, full benifit. They match 401k upto 6%, full medical paid for by them, along with lots of other good stuff...Its myself and brother in law that work there just us two. He has been there 9yrs I belive and is making 23$ hr plus free nextel phone along with other good stuff. So im happy with how I ended up everything happens for a reason.
