I rode with a bunch of old guys... no drama.

What happened on the SC ride?
Anyone crash?

No, was supposed to ride out with Z but I ended up not going. He gave me the 411 on the ride though.

Cecil, yes - a guy on a kanatuna went down in the first turn of the day (z said he target fixated on the grass), and a guy on a gsxr1000 ended up in the weeds later on - he's lucky that's all since while he was right in front of me he swung about 2' too wide in front of a car and brought it back. He was riding a bit erratically as well.

Interesting ride, but I don't know if I'll be riding along on the next one yet. Second ride I've been on with them, and both rides there have been guys who either shouldn't be there in the first place, or are pushing themselves to "keep up" with everyone else when they should be keeping their own pace. I would also bet if the guy that went down Sunday had been wearing more gear than a helmet, he would have walked away from it in better shape.

I'm no pro - and I know that - but I would rather hold someone up or have them wait than make them come back to collect me on the side of the road.

DogBone, no offense, I realize this is not anything that you guys can control, I might suggest you maybe say a few words to calm some of the boys down first next time though. Might also want to mandate gear, which I think you had mentioned in the past.

WOW, I always wear gear... And on my Kanatuna I get there when I get there Hopefully picking up some diablos soon I hate riding with people who try so hard to impress people that they endanger everyone.

Yeah, I was thinking about that during the ride. Maybe we need to get back to the basics and have a pre ride meeting with all the riders and let them know how we do it. All these crashing riders are giving us a bad name. LOL I just hope the guy on the Katana is okay. I dont know him or how he heard abot the ride. I have no way of contacting him.

The guy on the Gixxer was in way over his head. Gixxer 1000 as his first bike trying to rail with the big boys. He needs to take his ass over to 3rd Element and go through their safe riding course. Maybe he'll learn something. But I'm sure you guys noticed, after that spill he slowed way down. I think he needed that. It gave him a wake up call. Better in the grass then in the front end of a car.

Does it affect you that much that some random guy 1500 miles away went and paid his own money for a 1000?
Do we really have to fight over who uses the back brake or not?
Do you have to argue over stupid pointless shit on the Internet?

Not a bad idea, I don't know about 3rd element, not into club stuff, I've ridden with Chris and Sunshine a few times and I can at least say no one has gone down. They haven't been the types of rides we've had on Sunday mornings

And he almost did end up in the front of a car when he was right in front of me, swung wide and almost got the "best impression of a deer" award...
