Tell me if i am a little bit out of my league
its a 02' with only 5,000 miles on it and he only wants 3600 for it of course there is damage to the bike. When i get a bike it will be my first and i was reading the sticky and it said f2's and 3's i dont know if f4i is diffrent or anything so if you could let me know if im being dumb i posted some pics lets see if they work.
mmm...I'd never buy a damaged bike but it's up to you if it's only "visual damage" I wouldn't worry about it as much...if it sounds bad...I'd definetly walk away.
*But I am no expert by any means that's just my policy with buying cars...I'd apply the same to bikes.

"nice" bondo job on the tank.
Without knowing you, who am i to say your in over your head? Do you think you are, or will be? Please remeber that the bigger the first bike you get the flatter your learning curve will be. Don't lie to yourself and say "it's only a 600". New 600's can run with 900-1000cc bikes from 10years ago.
Perhaps a better question to ask is what was your first bike and how long did you have it, why don't you have it anymore?

The main thing to look for when buying a damaged bike is possible frame damage, bent forks/wheels and motor damage. Cosmetics can be simply repaired. This F4 looks pretty good from the pics, but it is hard to tell. I think the F4s make a good beginner bike.

Just a couple things I find quite often with bikes that I work on. Hope it helps
Ride safe!
