Default Gear...

Ive got an Icon Alliance Burner helmet

Just ordered TI-MAX gloves, in long.

Now, im concerned about jacket. I'm pretty much sold on the timax jacket, but i had an aplinestars on once that was comfortable, and i found the mesh silver/black fieldsheer jacket for 129... I'm really concerned about fit with the fieldsheer. any suggestions?

Congrats on getting gear... smart move.

I have had three Joe Rocket jackets (mess) and loved them all.
For sizing, I went to the motorcycle shop and tried them on.
Then bought the cheapest one I could find on the internet.

I have the Alpinestars "Stunt" leather. That thing is AWSOME....when it's not too hot (75*or hotter).
For the hot days and nights, I have a Joe Rocket blow through.

I have the TIMAX short gloves. Takes some getting use to because they are so thick. My buddy has the TIMAX jacket. That thing is nice! He wears it every Saturday night and says he doesn't get too hot. Barney's has them for $200.00.

See ya out...

thanks guys... really got my eye on this fieldsheer, its the 03 sonicair in silver, 129 from brockton cycle center... i've already got a fieldsheer leather (really heavy jacket, I'd bake in it if I rode with it now), so I'm hoping to get something mesh with ce armor for the hotter months. my only concern with the fieldsheer is, i'm an odd size/shape. I'm 6'5 210, give or take... the leather one fit like a glove for height and girth when i was 250 a few months back, but now i wear a size 36 pant, so my options are limited... correct fit and armor placement, but too short, or long enough, and the the jacket a little loose?

Not attacking you here cecil...but that statement just cracks me up.

you spend $ to go to the store and try it on.

then money to drive home without it.

then time to look online.

then you buy it for $20 less, and add $5 for shipping and wait a week for it to get there.

if ou had just bought it from your locla dealer you would have paid $20 more....but wouldnt have wasted the gas. adn you would have gotten free "UPS Molecular transport shipping" where you get your product that very instant from the place you buy it from....

I dunno maybe it's just me but i would always rather spend $10-20 more and support my local retailers. theya re the ones that are goignt o help you out in a pinch...

[/soapbox]

p.s. i like the looks of those feild sheer jackets.

Can't beat a Joe Rocket Phoenix jacket. Excellent in the hot weather, and the best value out there. I love my Alter Ego jacket though. Waterproof removable liner, and all the fabric panels come off, and convert the jacket into a mesh breath thru. So it's good year 'round.
