As loud as possible...
Well, I finally think I hit the limit for loudness on my '01 Magna. I was running a stock set of Jardine drags, which were pretty loud, but Monday evening I decided to pull 'em off and yank the baffles. Words cannot describe how loud this bike is now... it's lovely. I do think I need to rig some kind of "performance cone" setup to keep a little backpressure on the engine now though. I've basically lost all of my low-rpm power. Any of you sport bike guys ever work with any kind of performance cone setups?
well not familiar with yammie's but on my honda i had to get a D.F.O. to get back my low end. i think yours is carbed if so than a bigger jetting will help.

The Magna is a Honda. I've got the jets 3 sizes up from stock right now, which is about the best I can do without fouling plugs I think. I know in Harleys they stick little restrictive cones right in the head there the pipes mount and it generates the back pressure, and I was thinking about something like that for my bike. I might just be SOL though.
never heard of those i was thinking something on the other end. can you take the packing out of your baffles that came out? mine have a cotton kind of material for sound dampening. if you can remove that then put the baffle back in that may do it.

Nah, they were just plain steel tube baffles. I'm not really too concerned since it's a cruiser and it's still fast as hell. I was just seeing if anybody had done something like this before.
