Default Anyone want chrome windscreens?

I got the idea about putting vinyl on the inside of my windscreen and think it would look pretty good. I'm going to pick some vinyl up, but want to know how many people would want this on their bike so i know how much to pick up. The cost would be around five to ten bucks, but no more than ten.

So who's in?

, anyone else?

If you have highly polished or chrome rims the chrome windscreen complements nicely.

If there are not 3 more people(4 including Gorky_Parky) by the end of the week then i'll just forget about it. I figured this would be a good chance for us cheap skates to get a chrome windscreen without having to shell out the dough for a sportech.

With 5 of us in on the deal that makes the cost right around 7.50 each. The vinyl is garaunteed 5yrs of outdoor use. Come on boys step up to the plate.

I know, and its not going to happen. To bad nobody stepped up to the plate.

Mark my words...just a little down the road there will be a post or two asking about chrome mirror windscreens. Oh well, you snooze you lose.

i twont really work that well unlike most vinyl that stretches, Chrome vinyl does not strech like that it will crease most bike windscreens are way to curved to do in chrome vinyl. Just thought i would help before you all went out and wasted money on vinyl.

Wrath...Been there seen that--hence the reason for the thread.

No need to use my windscreen(s) cause there just ins't the interest. Although to quell any future reasons to why you can't do it, i will say this. The chrome mirror vinyl WILL cover most windscreens flawlessly. I have seen a few samples of the process and finished product. Many, if not all, people i contacted for product promised me that it will never work for the reason mentioned above. However, knowing that it will work i didn't feel like trying to educate the ignorant, so i just left them to their ignorant bliss and looked elsewhere for the vinyl.

The beautiful thing about this is that one can put a very intricate design on the windscreen for relatively nothing, and then peel it off and put something else there whenever they want to.

Oh, and not picking on you Wrath, but a testbed? I mean come on, for 5-8 bucks someone would be willing to just give it a try? I don't think someone who is willing to watch their pennies that closely is ever going to be happy with whatever they buy. Even is its from the most established manufacturer on the market today.

You aren't picking on me?

Why not? It's easy enough to do you know...

I would love to chrome out the wind-shield on my FZ6. Lets do it. At worst it will look horrible, and I will run away crying with my hands in the air.
