Scam on CycleTrader.com
Just a heads up on a scam I seemed to have run across on CycleTrader.com. I did a search for local bikes for sale and found a couple in the area that seemed to be "too good to be true". Well, I emailed the seller on one of them and got this in return:

Hi there,
Now I'm in Italy and the bike is here with me.
Look how we will make the deal:
You will go to western union and you will
wire the money in Italy from your name to any name you
want like example the name of your father, mather or a
friend and after this you will mail me the MTCN and
the receiver name to check the money.
After what I'll check the money I'll ship the
bike to you via FedEx service and I'll pay the
shipping and only after what you will get the bike and
you will test it you will call at western union and
you will change the initial name with my name and I'll
get your money for the bike .
This is the best way to make the deal and
very safe for you.
Mail me soon and tell me if you agree.
Thank's
I've heard of similar scams, but vice versa....the scammer is the buyer (in a different counrty). Just thought I'd let everyone know out there to be extremely cautious when you run across a great deal.

There are more. A friend of mine tried getting a sweet 02 GSX600R and got a similar message. They are obvious frauds. The best thing we can do is not be dumb buyers.
