600cc go kart?
we recentlt recieved a 1996 honda cbr 600 engine and tranny and we have absolutely no use for it so we came up with a bright idea and said lets make a fast ass go kart. Does anyone have any ideas on how this could be possible such as where to mount it and how to get the power to the rear wheels. We want to keep it 6 speed and have a bump shift because the way a bike is set up it would just be the funnest thing to drive please post up any info
uhh.. all drama aside, I have no idea how you would do it, but I have been wanting to do it ever since I saw that gixxerkart video! (llook it up its badass)
If you have someone that can fabricate metal a little bit, it shouldnt be too hard to mount the engine and tranny to a shifter cart frame

wanna sell it? me and my uncle were gonna build one but my buddies dad gave his bike away. use a golf cart rear axle and streering box. the axles are super strong ans you'll have both wheels spinning.also they use a steering box that is very small and works really well.the frame is probably best to fabricate youreslf because it will have to be pretty long. if this is for the street you wont really need any suspension. let me know how it works out for you.also all you have to do for the axle is weld in a sprocket and turn the engine so the chain goes right around and make a lever for the shirter.you may have to put a handle on the steering wheel for a clutch though. good luck on the brakes.
