get a 600cc or smaller, anything larger is too much power and too heavy for a starter. If u wanna do it right start on a ninja 250 and work ur way up the cc's, Good 600CC starters are the suzuki katana 600's, old model ninja's, gsx-r, or cbrs (newer models are too fast for starters). And take the MSF course. that's my .02

youll get board of a 250 way too fast.give it a month and youll be board of a 600 but buy a pos so if you crash or lay it down you wont give a shit.if your pretty comfortable driving one then get a 750 or 900. its not like you give it too much gas and itll fly out from under you.this way you dont have too buy and sell and then buy again.its all apin in the ass.im selling my 750 to het a 1000.ive had it for about 4 months and im ready for something bigger.
