Default Ninja 500?

I'm out looking at bikes again, i use to have a 750 but i decided i was gonna get something a lil smaller like a 600, but dam those things are hard to find w/ out spending 5 grand on something w/ decent miles. I went to this one place and he had a 2000 or 2001 ninja 500, the bike was in awsome condition, never put down only 8,000 miles on it, just really well maintain and he only wanted $3700 for it, i asked him to test ride it but he said he couldn't and i've never ridden a 500, i dunno how much pep they have or how smooth they are, has anyone ridden this bike or another 500?

The performance difference between a 750 and a 600 sport bike is a good bit. The difference between a 600 sport bike and a 500 budget bike is ALOT.

Going from a 750 to 600 you are going to notice mostly just a power difference. The brakes, suspension etc are all pretty good. The Ninja 500 is a budget bike with crappy brakes, suspension and power. If you are looking for simple transportation with alittle excitment they are ok. But if you like to have alot of fun and push the limits on open windy roads, the 600 sport bike would be perfect.
