Dirt bikes
spent time this week looking at a few bikes for sale. Came across a few YZ250s and an RM250 within my price range that I really liked. Couldn't really find any CR's within my range ($1200 - 2200). I've had bad experiences with both Kawasaki bikes I've owned. I'm curious as to your opinions or knowledge on which bikes are known for their reliability in the 2 stroke category. I like honda products, but have fallen in love with every yamaha bike I've ridden. What do ya think?

KTM's are the worst bike to get, a lot of places don't carry and parts for them, and it takes a while to get them in. I would go with suzuki ( I have had 6 or 7 suzuki's and I loved them), yamaha, or honda.

the reason that hondas cost more is because the engines hold up better
remember that you are buying a 2 stroke engine and that these bikes require EXTREME amounts of work to be properly maintained
the price range for a decent used 250 IMO STARTS at 2500, anything less than that is going to cost you more down the line with work
make sure any bike you have has strong compression (the kickstarter chould not be too easy to push) otherwise you are looking at a few hundred bucks right off the bat
hondas are the way to go used though man, look for a 99 or so
