Default just testing waters - 2005 Kawi ZZR600 $2,000

Anyone have any interest in a 2005 Kawasaki ZZR600 for $2,000?

the catch is, the bank still has the title.

The bike is worth $3,500, so for anyone willing to do the legwork to get the title, it would be a great deal.

I already did a lot of it.
I have the info the guy who originally bought the bike, name and address.
I got the info for the bank that has the title, they were the original financing on the bike when it was new in 2005.
Since then, that bank got bought by HSBC bank, so that is who you need to work with to get the title.

According to both the DMV and my cop buddy who ran the VIN, there is nothing wrong with the VIN. Not stolen. Not repossessed. Nothing.
My best guess is that the original bank went under before the title was ever sent out and reissued. So it got "lost" in the paperwork shuffle when they were bought by HSBC bank.

The bike has changed hands several times since the first owner before I ended up with it.
It is in really good condition. The previous owner before me used it for a track only bike for a little over a year.

I just don't have the time nor desire to make the time to deal with HSBC bank to get the title.
For the person that does, this is a great deal for them.
If HSBC doesn't have the title/can't find the title, then HSBC would be able to have a new title reissued. Just like a mechanic does when they put a lean on the bike. They can then give you the new title. (or you can have a mechanic buddy put a lean on the bike and get the title and go that route) Everything I've been able to find thus far indicated that the lean was satisfied, the title was just never reissued. If it wasn't, then it would have been repossessed a long time ago and that would show up on the VIN search.

If there is any interest, I'll get pictures posted up.
You're welcome to come check out the bike in person.
Hit me up if you are interested and want more info.

Thanks

yeah, that's why I'm asking such a low price for it.

If you've got the time and desire to fight with hsbc, they are the key to getting the title, and you'd end up with a hell of a deal on this bike.

Hit me up if you want to know more about it.
