WTB: 900cc + Streetbike
I am looking to buy my first bike that I will personally own. I am tall 6'5 so I am looking for a bigger bike so I won't have to ride the tank so much. I have a price range in mind but am willing to listen and work with all offers. I am looking for something that I will want to keep for a while so please email me any serious offers.
I am looking for 900cc + but will take any bike if it feels right.

I'm just going to help you out a GREAT GREAT GREAT deal right now. Being tall has nothing to do with what size bike you get, I hear this a lot "oh I'm a big guy so I need a Busa or something, not true at all. I'm telling you this because I don't want to read another RIP thread.
It's your first bike, start small, learn how to handle the bike, respect the bike.
Get your endorsement and start small, nothing bigger than a 750 is needed, 600 would be optimal. This is just my opinion and if you take it to heart I'd be happy, if not, so be it, it is just an opinion.
You don't have to ride the tank, just slide back in the seat and hold the tank with your legs....like you are supposed to do, bet you didn't know that huh?
I'm just saying do what you want, but try to reconsider buying such a large bike for your first bike.
Otherwise, good luck searching

No I have rode for years, I just never owned my own bike. My father had a bike so I have rode his for at least the last 3-4 years. I have rode a 600 and I was on the tank mostly. I have had to sit back off the tank mostly. I am looking for something a lil bigger. I have my endorsement, but I was just looking for my own bike that I will not want to get something bigger in a year or 2. But thanks for the concern and info.
Listen to these guys! 600cc is plenty plenty fast! A fast rider on a 600 can run 11's if not high 10's in the 1/4 mile. These bikes are serious! If you buy a liter bike, most likely you will not actually learn to ride a bike because you would be scared to actually use the throttle. I am sorry but you do not have riding history! Riding pop's bike around is not enough. I read your other posts that you were looking for a 950cc-+ There is no 950cc sport bike.
Trust me the 600 is very fast, I would ride a 600 and love it for many years. The 600cc's of today are WAY more powerful then the older liter bike say like the honda 900rr.
If your truly insecure about owning a 600, the Gsxr 600,750,1000 all look alike buy a 600 and just peel the sticker. Thats what most guys do! You will eventually crash on a sport bike, you will crash more on a liter bike. So be smart, be a better/faster rider starting off with 600cc. Not trying to scare or intimidate you, just trying to help a newbie rider.
When you do buy a bike, buy atleast the top off the line Helmet (dont skimp on your head) a nice leather jacket, and nice gauntlet length leather gloves. When I buy gear I buy the top stuff! I have probably have over 16 wrecks (I stopped counting lol) and thank God no broken bones.
BTW how old are you?

the 05-06 Kawasaki 636 ninja is a great bike, i'm a bigger guy and i fit on it fine and it was comfortable. i loved that bike and people were always telling me how nice it looked.. and for cruising around with my buddies it had no problem keeping up with 1000's or 750's i mean how fast can you really go around town. the 06 se version is tits.
it seems to me the newer 1000's are getting smaller and smaller, the 1000 i have now seems close to the same size as my 636 did
