Well a combination of not having the time to ride this bad boy and wanting a down payment on a house is making me consider letting her go! I'm the second owner of this 08 1000rr, I bought it from a friend in sarasota when it had 1,700 miles on it and it now only has 4,500 or so on it. This is my second bike comming from my RC-51, (thanks TR for helping me find dude who stole the RC.....)

anyways....My 1000rr is in outstanding condition and runs flawlessly. The taylormade Exhaust sounds nuts, steel brake lines, adjustable levers, Brand new rear tire ( only been on it once since put on), and Vortex sets. It's been kept inside my house not in the garage (since the other one was stolen ). Asking 7,000 , I owe about 2,000 on it, so I will balance transfer the remaining balance to my 0% interest Credit card to get the title if needed. Offers welcome, The bike is STUPID fast and turns heads!

What exactly does this mean?? the tire has only been on the bike since you put the tire on??

Barley passed it's second oil change, which speaking of oil, is this a oil burner ? 80% of 08's are

 

Lol this means that ever since i replaced the rear tire a month ago, i have only had time to ride it 1 time. Make sense now?

 

Well as Jdm said that price is quite reasonable. If you see another 08 with what i already have on it for a lower price i would be surprised, however i may be able to sweeten it with including my large shoei, alpinestar gloves, and rear stand. What price range are you wanting to be at?

 

Sounds like you know your 08 CBR 1000rr's lol, your definitely right about 80% of the 08 CBR's sipping on the Oil. I've kept a close eye on the oil level ever since the oil was changed (as anyone who owns a motorcycle should, or any motor vehicle for that matter). I did quite a bunch of research into that before I purchased it and I had my mechanic check it (Honda CBR 1000RR Motorcycle Forums: 1000RR.net is your friend). Since the oil was changed I've checked the dip stick and haven't had to add any additional oil sice 3,000 miles ago, however I did notice my exhaust had a little black soot around the exit pipe over time. My never Smokes or anything to that extent lol.

JDM hows your oil experience with yours? How many Miles you got on yours?

 

Dont get me started! I started noticing low dipstick every 500 miles or so, so I took it back to my dealer and they claimed they did a leak down test and 1 qt every 1,000 miles was within spec.... GTFO yea right. the best part is when they claimed that F1 and high performance motors are known to burn oil, I then told that moron "I bought a street bike not a F1 car!!!!" WTF.

So looong story short, besides the oil burning issue I absolutely love my CBR!
12K miles on the bike now (lots of mountain riding up north) and last year I hung up the street gear and converted it to a full track bike! Its very forgiving and easy to ride bike on the track!

Anyways GLWS this bike sells itself, just read the reviews Sportbike Riders "bike of the year" 3 yrs in a row!
