1997 Ducati 916 Biposto, 5500 orig. Miles, Very Nice!!
I just took some quick pics. If anyones seriously interested than I can take more. Let's face it, if the bike didnt have those scratches it would be in showroom condition, with low miles and would be worth close to 8k. It has a couple scratches, very low miles and I'm asking $6500 o.b.o. I'm definetly open to offers, I just havent received any yet.
haha 8k is a bit of a stretch, its an older bike and its 500 miles away from its 6k tuneup which is roughly $1500. Fairings for upper/lower will run $450 each ($900 total) plus screws from ducati or $250-300 for used ones.
I suggested u post pix of the damage because if it isnt that bad more ppl will reply, it seems a bit off that you wont post pix of this minimal damage.

Secondly, It's doesnt need any fairings and nobody buys new parts at dealer cost when they're listed in perfect condition for sale online for a quarter of the price. Nor does it need any "new" parts to be perfect. All the damage is strictly paint related with no cracks whatsoever. (with the exception of a crack in the windscreen, which obviously would be replaced with another one)
As for the pics, I originally snapped those pictures to send to a buy about a trade so I only took the two. The deal wasnt finalized so I figured I'd go ahead and post it. It's not like I'm trying to ship the bike to someone. They're going to see it when they come to pick it up so it would really be pointless to misrepresent it now wouldnt it.
I appreciate your "opinion" on posting the pics, but it's really worthless to me since your not even in the market for a 916. So unless your a member of the "internet police", I think I'll wait until someone is serious about purchasing it and then I'll be happy to send them more pics. Thanks for the input though.

Wow, awfully defensive aren't we? But since you decided to get all Tommy Toughnuts on me I'll point out that bike went for $7200, had only 4,000 miles on it and had a ton of additional items on it AND was still in showroom condition. Part of the draw of a 916 is the fact that they're so hard to come by so by replacing the scratched panels (w/o stock 916 graphics) you're bastardizing the bike.
So how about those pictures boss? I never said I wasn't intereted.

First of all, I just saw a 1997 with nearly the same miles only without the scratches bring $7800 on e-bay so, no, it is not a stretch at all, IF THERE WAS NO DAMAGE.

"Tommy Toughnuts"? Look jackass, your first post was telling me to keep it because you'd never sell yours, your second was telling me it's not worth my asking price and I might be a scammer since I don't have enough pics. You don't want to buy it, so don't try to say that your comments stem from an interest in purchasing the bike. You don't want to sell yours so it's not like there's a competition thing going on here. I really don't see why this is any of your business. Don't you have anything better to do??
Someone just made a post saying they were interested and would like more pics, so guess what, in about two minutes there will be pics in their e-mail. Go call b.s. on someone else.
