You should be done by 3. Saturday for sure.....Sunday just depends on the turn out and the weather, but no later than 4. I think the last Lakland event (Sunday) was done by 2:15.

There will be a few nice cars at the AutoCross, but no it's not a show.
This will give you some idea of what's going on there if you're a "book" learner: http://www.scca.org/amateur/solo2/index.html
If you're the more visceral type, Jamal's Sebring video will work: http://www.fastjam.com/autox/cfr_seb_sun.avi
You may need this gimmick to run it: http://www.divx.com/divx/
Bring the Altima out and have a new experience. Almost everything is worth it once. Or you can just laugh at the guys who spin. Or the ones that honk the horn & turn on the wipers when they get way out of shape. I've entertained many and it never once was an FTD
.
Yes, that one. I'm old and still call it The Lakeland CIVIC Center. I can't wait to go to the Ice Palace this fall either. I miss driving down Buffalo Ave, too. Once you name something, leave it alone.

Well, Lakeland was my SCCA Debut. Boy did I SUCK. I only got 2 runs in before the car crapped out and both runs were really BAD. Somehow I still wound up fastest novice??????? For anyone who was curious, the problem that had me cursing my car like a maniac turned out to be a disconected alternator harness. Once found, the car ran great and I mannaged a couple of laps around 43.9xx that were decent - I was still way out of shape at the last cone in the slalom on that back half of the course but better than the runs that counted. More seat time next weekend is definitely in order.
Good to meet some of you guys today and put some faces and names with these board aliases.
Hope to see ya's next Saturday.
