The Group C era of the late 1980s and early 1990s is one of sportscar racing’s most celebrated. ‘Silk Cut’ Jaguars versus ‘Silver Arrow’ Mercedes and ‘Rothmans’ Porsches to name but a few... Spectacular, closed-roof prototypes racing wheel-to-wheel at speeds of up to 250mph - that’s 400kph - along the Mulsanne straight at Le Mans.

These are the cars that our man, Sam Hancock, fell in love with as a child and these are the cars that render, even the most hardened motor sport fans, misty-eyed.
