Default Need brake pad/fluid advice!

Well, after 56k, the rotors on the Si are warped. They've actually been warped since 26k, and Brandon Honduh has been machining them... But it's finally time to get rid of 'em. The shudder under braking is just too much.

So I've decided on Brembo blanks to replace the front rotors, leaving the backs stock for now. I figure I might as well get the pads replaced at the same time...

The two pads I'm looking at are the Hawk HPS street and EBC's Greenstuff (just because that's what TireRack carries). Any recommendations either way? Or maybe another brand/model to consider?

Also - do you think it's worth it to buy some different brake fluid for a once-a-month autocrosser like me?

Thanks guys,
Jason

well, you should keep the fluid relatively fresh just for general maintence upkeep. I use Valvoline Synthetic, but its dirt cheap and available anywhere.

I had the HP street pads on the front of my Protege, and I was petty darn happy with them. However, they will be "grippier" than your stock pads, so you will actually change the brake bias of your car if you just change the front. This happened to the Protege as well, since I left the cruddy pads on the rear. Ended up being able to lockup the fronts pretty easily.
