By: RACER Staff 9 hours ago Robinson Racing has announced it will field two Camaro GT4.R GTS entries in the Pirelli World Challenge, starting with the Road America rounds on June 22-24.“Robinson Racing is returning to our roots with General Motors and Pratt Miller,” said team owner George Robinson. “We have raced a GM product as far back as 1987, and as recently as 2017 where we won our second [Trans Am] TA2 championship in a Camaro. Robinson Racing is delighted to be back in the family with a bowtie proudly displayed on our new GT4.R Camaros in the Pirelli World Challenge GTS class.”Second-generation racer Gar Robinson will campaign his No. 74-74 Ranch Resort-Chevrolet Camaro just as his father did in the 1990s, with the same crew and same support from GM and Pratt & Miller. Shane Lewis will drive the team’s No. 72-74 Ranch Resort-Chevrolet Camaro and co-drive in SprintX with Gar Robinson.“My dad’s Camaro was chassis number 007 and I have the honor of running 007 in my new GT4.R,” said Gar Robinson, “It’s like this was meant to be.
