Wink 10/23 Sarasota Auto X - Suncoast PCA

So i was sitting at a red light today when a guy in a porsche pulled up and after a quick convo, he told me i should come to their autocross coming up next weekend. I went to Suncoast PCA.org but since im not a porsche owner and don't have a membership to PCA, i cannot sign up for their forum which means cannot post/PM questions about it.....so since i see some overlap in members/events i'll ask here....

Im a complete autox n00b and would like to have some fun but i want to be prepared so i can attend and race.....does anyone know what i need to do to register or if i even can register for this event? Anyone know the cost or who to contact for more info? Anything in particular i need to do to my car to be able to race other than having it in operable condition and bringing a helmet?

I don't have details on this event, but if they run it like the PCA events at Zephyrhills airport, it will be a pretty casual affair with no pre-reg required. You'll have fun. Hopefully someone in the know will respond, but just in case:

Entry fee should be somewhere around $30-35.

Your car merely needs to be safe. Good working order, tires not showing cord, battery tied down, throttle return springs working, all lug nuts and other critical hardware in place, trash and junk removed. Nothing special, just give the car a once over, make sure everything is tight and required stuff is present, and take out the trash.

Here's their info page if you haven't seen it:

Good luck!

It's Ladies day, so ladies get in for free and have special awards available.

You should still be able to browse the PCA Forum section for information.
The course map was in the newsletter, which should be available on the site too.
I'll work on posting the course map in forum section on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Lunch provided by Suncoast Motorsports.

Thanks for the video.
When I first put up the course I thought it might be really boring, but that 3 cone slalom was kind of fun and fast for a small lot.
I was in the black Boxster parked next to you in the lot.

I liked how the ladies trophies were given out at the lunch break so all could see, and everyone would still be there.
Your wife looked really happy.
