AutoCross at the Sarasota Kennel Club

In remembrance of the tenth anniversary
of the September 11 tragedy, we
encourage drivers and guests to wear
their patriotism “on your sleeve – come
decked out in your best red, white, and
blue for the event!”
Advance registration at www.clubregistration.
net is recommended, and will
give you a $5 discount off the regular
entry fee of $25 for PCA members and
Porsche drivers, $30 for others.
Day-of-event check-in, safety inspection and course walk begin at 8:30 a.m., with a drivers’ meeting at 9:30, followed by a parade lap and timed runs. The event is open to all licensed drivers, in all makes of cars (but Porsches are recommended!).

Helmets are required, with Snell 2005
or 2010 approval. Snell 2000 approval is no longer acceptable. The club does have a few loaner helmets.

Great, I have to buy a new helmet to autocross with PCA, I guess this is the same for BMW also, since they both seem to have the same retarded insurance company.

Thanks for the photos and vids.
It did not seem like a power course on paper, but Tod and I were in his Miata......
and we were both commenting that we had a Lot of time to talk (and point things out, and read a book) on our instructional runs with passengers. Maybe it was more of a turbo Miata course.
