rallycross Facilitator.
I think I know that DarkBuddah will be my man... but I'm almost ready to re-start some rallycross. here. as no-one else knows how to do it.. I'm a GREAT idea man but I need someone else to facilitate.. I CAN do it myself but I get burnt out quick..
if your ready.. raise your hand by replying to this post.. and in doing so you agree to take some of the work load. it's EASY to hold an event.. just too much for one guy.
we will set A date tomorrow and start planing.. I can reserve the track and make it happen.. East bay is amazing place and we should keep doing it. I need 4 Strong backed individuals.

I wanna see this succeed and flourish, so count me in. And even if it's a date I can't be there for, I'd be glad to help with anything that can be done in preparation for the event. I've been talking up rally in general down here in Sarasota and found there is some interest, so I hope we can build a bigger base to support the events.

Come on now... don't get too down on folks. Wives, kids, jobs, school are all real things that create real issues, not simply excuses. If you're not married, don't have kids, don't have a job with weekend hours, or school that keeps you half a state (or more) away, then consider yourself privileged to be self-determinig and without external commitments. But the rest of us all make sacrifices or pay a price for what is important to us, which is exactly what I'll have to do to make this happen. For me, it's worth the heartache and aggravation, or at least I hope it will be.

i'm not saying the blocks do not exist.. but it's how we approach them.. for example how many times have you read.. (I'll go to an autocross once I do "this" to my car..) it's not true.. it's a phony excuse..
and I'm calling people out.

There are lots of posers and talkers, it's true. Lots of folks have excuses, and many are just scared and/or lazy. But I just don't want to automatically assume that is true of folks. I figure trying to be encouraging and reassuring will help those who are scared, and trying to make it a bit exciting and hyped-up will motivate the lazy. But when that doesn't work, I think calling folks out is fine as long as you don't get too personally insulting about it. Like when I posted in the Subaru section and said:
...and...
Now lets see if folks step up like they say they want to.
It has to be so far away because the local rally-x events were so poorly attended (even though lots of people said they'd go). Last TampaRally event in Nov. 2010 had 6, SIX, cars show up to drive, so Jeff threw in the towel on local rally-x and related events. If there's enough interest locally, I think Jeff said he could organize an event... assuming folks would be willing to pre-register and pre-pay to make it happen I'm betting.

I can help.
Numerous friends I also have can participate quite easily. I have a few ideas, but they would be primarily limited by the environment we'd be able to play in.
PM me, I'll send you my cell and we can talk. I'm thinking the best way to garner support for this event is to tackle more then just the stereotypical AWD cars for dirt rallying, lets get soem FWD/RWD in here too.
I know several vendors, a few chats and I'm sure I can get them to show up and do whatever.
Several subie members and mitsu evo people would love to go to this sort of event, we're right now limited by whatever the rain floods which is usually in the back of a few buildings just to mess around with and test the cars aWD system (automatic to manual AWD vary highly ;D)
