Today was our first time to attend a Corvette Club Autox. What a blast!! Relaxed venue, great lunch and as many runs as you could do. Thanks to the folks that set it up and ran it. It's great to live in an area that has so many event options! VERY fun course.

I ran an event with them last year, they are pretty laid back. Looks like a fun course, lots of fast sweeper action.

 

gah, i am so pissed i missed this event, this was my kinda course!! lol.

VERY fast, doesnt seem very technical, definitely a good power course. Im sure some Z06s dominated today.

how many cars showed up?

 

Looks like the kind of course that good tires would dominate on. Without good tires, you'd never be able to put any power down because it's almost all sweepers.

 

I didn't count them but I would guess there were around +-20 cars. And yes there were some very nice ZO6 Vettes there! But the FTD went to a Super Stalker (only after figuring out the right line to take into the final section with the slalom).

I agree with you Loren.... good tires were a must have.... Except for one red Mini with worn street tires and an open diff. VERY, VERY fast, pretty sure it was a smoke and mirror illusion... just had to be..

Overall, a real great time.

 

Glad to see you had a good time. I (and a couple others) plan to go out to their next event.
