Shhhhh. Don't tell everyone about Newberger road.
More traffic will ensure it gets covered in freakin' speed humps like every other good road in this town.

I thought speed humps were installed as a challenge, if my suspension can still take a hump at speed I know it's working right.. I do know it REALLY pisses off the sissy nannys that forced the township to put them in, when you go sailing past them mowing their lawn at full droop 8" off the ground, at 60mph. make sure you apply a tiny bit of brake pressure too so when you land you get a nice loud chirp from the tires as they come back down. "That's what I think about your hump"

that one road of livingston doesnt look very hilly at all. I really think your gonna have to look more towards north central area for good hills, something close to what the guys in the northeast race on.

What's this?!?!!! A "hill climb" in Florida?!?!!! That can't be right. Sounds like a good ol' fashioned rally stage to me... and if a bit of it was "gravel" (okay, sand), that'd be even better!

In all seriousness, this is very exciting news. I'd be very interested in this event if/when it happens. I just wish I could suggest some sort of idea of a course, but hell, I'm still relatively new in the area and haven't found anyone that is active or even very interested in rally here in the manasota area. Hell, I've been planning on driving the 3 hours to attend one of the SCCA events on the east coast. Not ideal.

Yeah, me too. Coincidentally, I was just scanning the local google satellite imaging here looking for interesting spots for rally and "hill climb" type events. No luck yet.

Look for new autox venues as well while you're at it!

I think Sarasota/Bradenton might have a number of good locations for stuff like this, but I know absolutely nothing about how to approach getting permission or securing such sites. They use the dog track parking lot for events sometimes, but I know there have to better spots...
