Hello TR, I am attempting to gather a list of people who would be interested in joining me in the Florida Honda Challenge series.
Hello TR, I am attempting to gather a list of people who would be interested in joining me in the Florida Honda Challenge series.
I am still in progress of building my car for the series, (car requirements and rules listed here ( http://www.nasaproracing.com/rules/Honda-Challenge.pdf ) and I plan on going through NASA to get my license while the car is being worked on. The biggest benefit to the approach I am using is that I can use my half-complete track car as my vehicle for the training and licensing sessions. This way I can take my time to get the rollcage and suspension done perfect before I actually jump into the real races.
What I would like to do is gather a group of like-minded drivers to fill out the races here in florida so we can all have fun and expand the Honda racing community here in Tampa and Central Florida.
So if you would like to race on a track, (Sebring International Raceway, Palm Beach International Raceway, Homestead Miami Speedway) or if you already have a race license and want to help me expand the HPD events, please give me a call, Pm me, send me an email, let me know you are interested, I know at least a few of you want to, and its really a lot easier than you might think to get started.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

right, 2010 was only Juan.
The people over at NASA are changing things and there should be quite a few more drivers next season.
EDIT: also, that means that there is contingency money just being left on the table, all one would need to do is show up with a car and finish a race to claim prize money.
