Redline Time Attack in August
Is anyone considering participating in the Redline Time Attack at Sebring in August? I was thinking of entering under the DE classification but I wanted to see if anyone else is going to go.

Hmm, I've never been to one of their events before. After all the fun I had at the ERS last month I may try to make this as well.
Has anyone here ever attended one of these before and have an opinion to share about these events?

I like that they will supply you with a transponder to log your times. Looks like my R will qualify under their 'enthusiast' class rules, lol.

its way overpriced for a one day HPDE. really only worth it if you are doing the actual timeattack.

$225 is not a bad price, but... how much TIME to you get for that price?
For the same money (or maybe $250), I can run with SAFE and get 4-5 hours of track time. Given the focus of the Redline events, I would expect (but could be wrong) that the HPDE folks are going to get shuffled into short sessions in between the "Time Attack" sessions.
Of course, if you're into the whole spectacle that goes along with the Redline Time Attack series, it might be worth it to you. Me, I go to the track to DRIVE.
