Anyone making it out?

I know its a long haul for most of you, just wondering who'll be there.

Since I am working this weekend I will not be out. Next event for me will probably be September.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

That sucks, I'd figured you'd be out there.

Only 17 people pre-registered when I signed up earlier today.

That is a low turnout. Must be the heat or something. And with the gear you guys have to wear heat is a poor excuse for anyone to use.

I need to buy the RE-11's for my car so that on really hot days I don't need to change tires. Sooner or later I'll get around to buying them. I'm kind of trying to wait for the closeout sales to come up. Which is about the same time everyone starts buying tires for Nationals. Ugh.

Got some vids, had a lot of fun. Track was very slick and we were on brand new tires, but it was a good day.

nice layout. would have been fun but grip looks like an issue.

looking at the results you can see how grip vs smooth driving vs power really evens out the classes time wise. interesting.
