Default CFRC Autocross - August 7th!

Hey TR,

Central Florida Racing Complex is having another regular autocross day Saturday, August 7th from 9am to 2shared_pm. It's going to be a normal event, the same light competition like in past months, but after the success of the classing Roadster Shootout, I'll be having two separate classes, modified, and stock, similar in classing to what was used for the Roadster Shootout and trophies will be given to the fastest driver for each class.

FAQ:
Where?
Central Florida Racing Complex, 10698 Cosmonaut Blvd. Orlando FL 32824

When?
August 7th, 2010, from 9am to 2pm

What are the rules?
The full list of requirements are listed on this webpage: Central Florida Autocross | Central Florida Racing Complex

How much will it be to participate?
$30 to drive, and $10 to spectate.

Are there helmet rentals?
Yes, we will have rentals on site, PM me to reserve one.

Let me know if you have any questions, we had a great turnout last month and I can promise this August event will be too!

Is there a registration, or do we show up and drive?

Darn, I was hoping to come over there again sometime soon but I'm going to be enjoying the mountain twisties up in SC, NC and Tennessee that weekend instead.

Perhaps next time.

I'm going to try and set-up a pre-registration for you guys, which will allow you to do both that, and register at the gate.

Well, stay tuned, I'm going to have that "Four Door Faceoff" event in September, it's likely going to be the 4th.

How long (in seconds for the best drivers) is your typical course? Is it mostly the same layout as you posted to the Roadster shootout? What were typical times for that event?

How many runs typically?

Thanks.

I'll be posting up the classing criteria soon, depending on how modified your STI is will determine which class it will be in.

The Roadster Shootout course was probably our 2nd longest, and the best time of the day was around 42 seconds, but times ranged from 42 seconds to 51 seconds. I usually try to aim for the fastest time to be from 35 seconds to 45 seconds.

Our area for autocross is a little bit smaller than other clubs, but I utilize it to it's fullest.
