I was reviewing the Rules.

Did any one else catch the part where the Pit crew- fueling guys need to have a 10Lb fire extinguisher.. and 10lb bag of kitty litter.
The extinguisher looks like its going to be $75. DOhhh.

Fire extinguisher has been SOP for hot-pit fueling for a long time, even for LeMons. The kitty litter is a new requirement.

we have been Hot pitting with a 2.5lb extinguisher not a 10lb one, that is huge compared to whats in the car.
I found a shop here if Brandon that stocks them Ill pick it up today.

ALSO every one dont FORGET to print out your TECH SHEETs

We are getting ready to Head home. Im really glad we decided to spend the night here I was wiped out after the race. We ended up just coming back and getting showers the going to Dennys. The Cool suit made a huge difference, it will be a standard feature on the car from this point on.
It was a great race, info is on our Facebook site, Taj and Blacksheep ran really well. And once the 5 guys got their car sorted the Acura was really quick.

The team has decided to use our 350 bucks for 2nd place to upgrade from our old metal racing seat so something fancy and comfy.
Next its Sebring in Sept. We need to replace the clutch disk and front struts. We had one go out during the race. See every one in Sebring.

Too bad I didn't see your thread in time, when it comes to 10 lbs extinguishers, instead of buying one I would have recommended just borrowing one from your workplace. I think that's the standard size extinguisher for commercial workplaces now.

I'm going to be moving to a smaller shop and am very over equipped. Oh and I still have a few of those momo seats at the warehouse if you are still looking

Also selling my dual axle tandem open trailer for $600 if anyone wants it. I kinda need the space now.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

boooo. hisssss.

j/k almost all the teams were close close close in lap times. big track was awesome. boring with 10 cars (or 8 or 7). i drove for what seemed like an hour and didn`t see another car. turns out the mustang I was chasing in 3rd place was turning almost identical lap times. I think we had more driver changes on the way home than we did during the race. aa at 12.30 am is boooooooring.

Loren, your "drive smooth" advice came in very handy yesterday. thanks again!

Also Great job to Taj. His team got 3rd place with his Mustang GT. the first event for the car. That is a good build to be able to take 3rd on the cars first time out.
