How Am I Driving?
I didn't really get much a of a chance to watch you drive last time because I was working staging while you were running, but I checked your times from the last event and they look alright. You had at least one clean run which is a good starting point. I don't know how many times you've autoxed before, but I think I recall seeing you out there before.
What I would suggest if you really want to start to pick up your pace, would be to ask one of the more experienced drivers who has a car with similar power/weight/handling characteristics to yours if you can ride along with them or if they would ride along with you. Don't be afraid about this... everybody is really friendly and generally helpful. You might try Neal in the red VW Scirocco. It's FWD and low powered (kind of like your corolla). You're more than welcome to ride with me in the Cobra, but the advice I can give you is going to be limited. My car is heavy and has alot more power, so the quickest way around the course for me is going to be different than for you.

leonard, it may be a carolla, but it is RWD.
Is it really??? That I didn't know. I didn't even consider the possibility that it was... Neal is still a good choice in the Scirocco. Another good person would be Jesse Naughton<sp> in his Protoge. Still FWD, but again, low power and light. If I think of anyone with a RWD light low power car, I'll post agan and suggest them... but I'm having a hard time coming up with anyone. Katie & Will drive the 2.5RS's, and most of the RWD cars have alot more horsepower.
yup, it's an ae86 I think, mid 80's corolla, rwd, popular drift car
I've been auto-xing a year. I ususally take gray corolla yes it's RWD. last year I was driving the black NA FC. end of last year to may, I used to drive the gray 240sx.　I like the way RWD handling. It's hard to take control but fun.
Next auto-x at FSF I'll ask someone for a ride. You can ride my car if you want. i put a passenger seat on my car. I still need to put a seatbelt.
I go to auto-x for fun. That's why I always slow down before the end of cource.　I don't really care about time as long as I learn something from running. I just wanna imporove the driving skill. but I'll auto-x for time next week.
Thanks for your advise

that's why you are "Drifter Taka"... and not "Autocross Taka"
I'll be glad to show you how to go faster and drive both better and worse.
Leonard can vouch for this: almost everytime I ride with him for instructional purposes I make him faster AND he spins... fast and fun!!!
but, alas... I will not be in Tampa next week.
