I'll be there. Might not be racing, but I'll be there.

I'm pretty easy to find...I have the only maroon IROC Camaro in Tampa, I swear...I've never seen a maroon one!! Either that or my big blue 4x4 RamCharger which I have seen one that looks similar to it in Tampa Come say hi, at least mingle...and of course, you can always ride along.

Dave, I am pretty sure springs are allowed in Street Prepared.
As far as I know... ANY intake modifications are allowed, any exhaust modifications are allowed, the ECU may be reporgrammed, any ingition modification is allowed, suspensions must maintain original mounting points but shocks, struts and springs are replaceable with aftermarket alternatives... Strut bars are allowed as long as they only travel transversely from strut/shock tower to strut/shock tower and are bolted in.

Basically, ANY bolt-on. No internal modification of the engine unless allowed by the update/backdate rule. I would not worry anyhow, not like you're competing divisionally or nationally where people will ACTUALLY protest.

I just read up...
14.8A
"Ride height may only be altered by... the change or modification of springs... Springs must be of the same type as the original... and must use the original spring attachment points"

omitted the useless info

FLNeonRT you are definitely in DSP.

DSPN is the proper designation till 3-5 events or a win, whichever comes first.

Or is it NDSP?

Enjoy novice while you can. Its an easy win if you and your vehicle are good.

I think the handbook would disagree. . .

Request novice classification at registration and it will be noted on your form. You must request this before the first car is run. Novices display an N after the class markings on the car, such as ESN or DSPN, etc.
Now whether this rule is followed to the letter is another story all together.

Yeah, but they all get thrown together as novice until they are experienced regardless of where their car would be classed...

BTW, the results for FSF are up http://www.eec.com/racing/Results/index.html

Damn, there appears to be a transcription error. Its not big enough to be concerned about but on my 3rd run I tapped a cone but did not knock it down or out. I guess the computer worker heard otherwise.

I have been robbed of a tenth of a second.

ROBBED!!!

Here Novice is allowed for 3 events or a trophy in novice, whichever comes first.

there is no REAL DSP-N, we don't run it. And 400HP930 regional supplemental rules are allowed per SCCA so to make all categories fit, etc. We just run Novice here with no class distinction. He can put DSPN on his window all he wants, but it will just be scored as N.

Good luck! You should do pretty wel out there if you have any talent.
