SCCA autocross - Brooksville 11/14
SCCA autocross - Brooksville 11/14
Come on out and enjoy a day with the least popular autocross club in Tampa!!!!!
Lunch? heck no, bring your own.
Cheap? no way, we need money to pay for printing our 5000 page rulebooks.
Friendly? maybe if you bring your sister, or a hot car I can drive.

West Coast Central Florida Region SCCA presents...
at the Hernando County/Brooksville Airport...
An all-day PRACTICE EVENT during the off-season on November 14th! Get some seat time to keep sharp and enjoy the cool weather while everyone else is taking a break and getting rusty!
To register go to: DLB Racing Calendar and look for the November events on the calendar.
Here is a detailed Google Map of the event site.
Registration closes end of day on THURSDAY, Nov. 5th. Registration for drivers is now online and prepay only. Everyone entering the site, including guests (non-drivers), must be on the list by the deadline. Contact me, Albert, with the full names of guests who are most likely to attend with you (my email address is in the flyer). Drivers will be limited to 55 and guests will be limited to a maximum of 20 per day.
We usually design courses that either use portions more than once with lap times around 70-80 seconds or those that do not with lap times between 40-50 seconds. On average, every driver completes at least 6 competition laps with additional laps in the afternoon. If you have not been out, the runway is large and paved with grippy concrete.
Check out the 2009 Central Florida Solo II Schedule.
Let me know if you have any questions.

I hear for next year they want to make my Boxster S compete head to head with Miatas.
Even the FAST club, with all it's Miatas, does not make me do that.
You work so hard to move from CS to AS, and "the man" keeps pushing you back down to CS.

If you think it's annoying being in a "relatively fast" sports car and getting consolidated down... think of the slow cars! Anything slower than a MINI Cooper S hasn't been able to compete in the lowest SCCA stock class for several years now.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

That would be what I would usually would do - lord knows i need the seat time to get close to Shiva, Steven and Justin in that Neon - but since I don't live in Tampa anymore its harder to do. Still at least it being on a Sat. I can make it over and have Sunday to sleep.
