Default Lemons Sept 09 CMP thread

So I see on the Lemons forum that there are at least 4 Tampa teams this year.

Taj Ford Escort
Black sheep Nissan Z car
GT 30 Mitsu 3000
Eurotrash BMW 325

Should be a great deal of fun.

Who is driving ?
Has any one made travel plans yet?

Also as of Today there are only 2 of the covered Pit areas left. I grabbed 2 of them like last race.. For us and Black sheep.

This event we are running all BMW CCA members for drivers and will have an article in the BMW Roudell mag.

I am already planning for the 2010 year with a 2nd car. a 1975 BMW 2002 and looking at a Tx race. Since I have done that drive.

Side note: there were 155 teams trying to get into the race this year. It would be great if they let in 100 cars and open it up to the full course.

Hey Barry.

5th Team from Tampa is Skool BoyZ racing in our old 280Z from the first race.

Do the garages need to be paid for in advance? If not, any chance you can grab another one of the garages for them?

Maybe we can get all 5 teams together for an Auto-X before LeMons. Can't be anytime soon since we have ALOT of work to do before our Z is running or stopping again.

I jsut read on the lemons forum that the pit are is now in a Waiting list Satus. You would need to call the track to verify. yes you had to pay up front.

We plan to have our car at the BMW Auto X next weekend. It has had some fuel delivery- line issues we hope to have worked out.

Gritt will you need the spot on the trailer? Let me know if not GT3000 would like it.

Yes for the bet.

still working out the issue with out car. Its getting a new fuel tank today. The return line was kinked as well as the tank had been twisted a bit. Due to the car being rear ended and then getting hit on the fuel filler side. It appears there are metal lines that go back into the top of the tank and these lines were kinked. Thus restricting the fuel return so when the engine is revved the fuel pressure cant be relieved and it floods the engine.

I plan to have the car out at the AUTO X next week.

Howdy Y'all! Yup, the bet is on again...for us at least! We are doing CMP on the cheap this time since we hope to be accepted for Ohio so no garages and limited updating of the car for us. We do have some motor issues to correct so thankfully Jay gave us an uber low value so we can get it repaired and still be legal.

Good luck in everyones prep! See y'all in SC!!
