Anyone else racing there with pboc? Heard the track sucks for understeer but gonna see what I can make of it.

track has tons of grip. If you don't know how to drive decreasing radius turns, then yes it understeers. Really depends on what car you are driving. Something like a 911 where you want to be on the power earlier to drive it with the rear end does not do quite as well as other cars.
I have a friend who is going, but I decided to opt out. Considering roebling with pca in a few weeks or maybe Chin down at homestead... idk yet, I want to do a shakedown run on the car as early as possible

asphalt is very predictable and i think it takes more skill to drive in the sand.

yeah they did, but the back stretch doesn't have 10a/b (or whatever number it was) anymore so it is much faster back there. It is a big, wide, and very open track with lots of grip... which actually makes it less fun

I thought the track was rather boring; after one day it feels more like a go kart track than a race track, it took all of one session to learn it which means it's easy and boring.
My second day was cut short, a Patron team Porsche hit me and broke something in the steering rack (and some suspension but we fixed that before the next race) that took me out after a few laps in the second race.
Chuck, any idea if the SAFE event in April is actually going to happen? Every time I try to go to one of their events I end up with the check coming back because not enough people signed up.

Moroso was great ten years ago. They had a kink in the backstretch that was dangerous as hell and caused a lot of wrecks but it was also fun as hell. They changed that about eight years ago.
Looks like this new configuration did away with loading up speed coming out of turn 11. A guy used to be able to really get hauling ass if he knew the right line around that turn. Now it looks pretty standard.
And they also changed the front stretch so you're not heading into turn two at 140mph.
The old track really separated the men from the boys. Now there isn't anything special about it. Sad.
