Need a few volunteers, before winter is over lets take advantage of the extra darkness and set up a wild night run. who is on-board?

What track did you have in mind?
Now, if you rent a place to race at night, I assume you're renting the entire day!? What about having an afternoon of practice, followed by a night race?
Unless you are doing it within the next couple of weeks, I'm sure I'll have a car I would like to test... What dates are you thinking?

I think Jeff's talking about a road rally, which means normal public roads and legal speeds.

Sorry! I really should study my new vocabulary list that I got from wOrd... Since then I noticed that the list was in the thread for newbies! I should have started reading by the beginning!
I'm still up to it!

Yes a "Road rally" is usually between100 and 300 Miles you'll need a navigator and while the roads are driven at "brisk" speeds there is no NEED to break the speed limits to succeed. but to average the speed limit on a given road is dificult over a few miles. and almost impossable over several hundred, add night and unpaved forest roads. and it will be a completely new experence..

Sounds fun to participate, but hard to plan! And the ones planning it won't have as much fun because they'll know the itinerary! I would love to participate. It would be ideal for me to find and practice with my future copilot. But I'm also available to plan and organize if you need!

Sounds like fun.......... I need to pick up a <1k rally beater now that the wagon is gone although I really don't want to pay to insure it which limits me to "closed course" events only
