Porsche Club - Sarasota Dog Track Jan 11
For the benefit of the autocrossers living more to the south of Tampa, I thought I should mention the the Porsche club is having an autocross at the Sarasota dog track on Jan 11.
I mention it because I ocasionally hear stories about some really long drives to Brooksville from the south.
If you are a novice driver, I believe the FAST guys are having a novice school a day before that looks to be quite a deal.
If you compete with the SCCA, please ignore this post and go to Brooksville for both days, and Please Tip the guy that assigns the worker stations.

I'm gonna guess that the Sarasota track is 90 minutes south of Z-hills.
Google maps is actually a better source than I.
Speaking about betting. I have a running one cent bet with another racer guessing Danny's times. Danny mentioned that he often saw a dollar changing hands after his first run between 2 club members, and we thought it was a good idea.
We are not a rich Porsche owners, so we only bet a penny.

This type of surface would be good experience for those looking to go to national tours

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

Registration starts Sunday around 8. Hopefully a driver meeting at 9:30.
No pre-registration. $30 for non-members, $20 for PCA and BMW members.
We can not set up on Saturday because the site is in use, so we will be out there early on Sunday.
The discussion forum on the Suncoast porsche site has a thread on it.
