News for the Florida State Champs:

At the request of a few enthusiastic S2000 and 350Z drivers, we have decided to open up a supplemental STU2 and STU2L class for this years Florida State Autocross Champs. It's basically the STU class, but for AS, BS, and CS cars that aren't otherwise eligible for STU.

The rules that we will be using for this event can be found here: Philadelphia Region SCCA - 2008 Solo Supplemental Rules

I'm told that the registration page already shows this class as available, so have at it...

Bumping. Only one day left to take advantage of the pre-registration and pre-pay and get a commemorative 35th anniversary Polo shirt and lunch deal. You can still register - even up to the day of the event - but you don't get the cool shirt and lunch!

Is the $70 entry fee negotiable? I'll offer $30.

$30 gets you in to the practice day. $70 gets you into the State Champs. Sebring ain't cheap!

Hi Rosko, I use the "fastest in Valrico" signature on the Porsche Club Site.

The club president called me on it at a club meeting with a room full of people, including 2 state champions currently living in Valrico.
I guess people really do read those things.

REMINDER: Tonight at midnight is the deadline for pre-pay to get you a commemorative Polo shirt and lunch day of the event. You can still register after tonight (even the day of), but you don't get as much!

STU2 is going to be an interesting class from the looks of who is registered.

Patsy is going to have some good competition in her class.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

She's pretty excited about it! She always has said she doesn't like the S2000, but I think she's anxious to get back in it after spending the year in Jason's Shelby Clone (which she unabashedly hates). I try and try, but somehow can't convince her that an S2000 is just like her old Miata with the exceptions that it has more horsepower, it brakes better, and it handles more predictably.

Once you fall in love with a car its hard for another to come along and replace it.

Anyone looking to share a hotel room or know about camping at Sebring?
