Thanks for posting that John I greatly appreciate it. For those who are unfamilar with this track it is 1.6 miles long and the speeds will be much higher than a typical autocross and the track is obviously much wider than an autocross so the range of possible lines you can take will be greater than an autocross letting you drive your car in a manner more aquainted to your driving taste whereas some autocrosses are just too tight to do certain things in your car that might give you a better line i.e. drift This track is rented out to Brumos Porsche Racing from Jacksonville they are big players in the 24 hours of Daytona and the 12 hours of Sebring. They set up their cars there they hold driving schools there and anybody who buys a porsche there gets to be Taught how to drive it on that track. Mercedes uses the track for prototype testing and just recently a Ferrari club rented the track out. $100 may sound expensive but think about it you pay $25 for a total of about 5 minutes driving time at an autocross at this event with 20-25 drivers we would have the track somewhere between 6-9 hours so youd be getting at least at the minimum an hours worth of driving time. As John said this is mostly directed towards honda and acuras when it gets down to it if we are short a few people we will open it up to anybody willing to pay $100. There will be a basic tech inspection for the obvious such as no cords showing on tires no loose batteries you get the idea. I really suggest even if your car isnt ready to your liking but is driveable and safe make this event dont let this oppertunity pass you by. I really wanted to organize an event there but it didnt work out. Robster did you speak to Don yet? He runs the show up there. He is a really cool guy. (damn that sounded gay! ) Anyway he use to race Trams Am back in the 60s and knows his ish.

I would be willing to help in any way. One thing I wanted to do was have experienced SCCA and Auto X guys there to ride along and instruct people if they wanted.

I have 7-10 people that would do it in a heartbeat. These guys and gals are experienced racers and wouldnt cause any problems.

BTW I have video of a Viper 427 Cobra Porsche Twin Turbo and a Skyline battling on that course...The Viper was pushing so hard he went off course in the long lefthander. I will try and edit the video and post it.
