Dan
Unless you have experience track days can get expensive. I am attempting to put together a track day at the Gainesville road course. the price will be around 125.00. I will keep you posted. Your car should be ok at Gainesville but Sebring would be really really hard on your car.

Here is a video of a Porsche 911 turbo going into the new hair pin at Sebring.

I am sure we could work something out with the guy. I havent seen the circle track area. Next time Im at DeSoto I will take a look.

Your brakes should be fine. Get better pads and replace your current fluid with a high boiling point fluid.

Count me in as well.

Taylors right BMW and Porche people get a much bigger place to work with at MacDill and theyre ALWAYS set up for higher speeds than scca or miata events. Youre gauranteed to hit third and to use first sparingly depending on vehicle.

Understood but not everbody can easily drop $250 for a track day @ Sebring...and the added risk of damage without insurance adds more complications. If you have a car that is specifically for the track or that is paid off that is one thing but when you still have payments thats another.

count me in...the only reason I havent gone to any yet is because something has always come up or no one else was going. But if you want to start a group...count me and the mullet mobile in..after all thats what it was built for.

yall are talking about renting out an oval track? or what?

i seen em just use tracks for the parkinglot....to set up cones.....i dunno how hard it is to come by wide open parking lots. but i seen em use the parking lots at tracks because the owners were like minded pple.

also ricerocket:is info about the sept. 8 and 9 meeting ambiguous for a reason? like only members are supposed to know?

On september 8th and 9th there is an SCCA auto-x at the Florida State Fairgrounds. This is an SCCA sponsored event and we are making it a TampaRacing event for our members. You should show up. If youve never autocrossed before theres a first time for everything! or just sit back and watch and get a feel for the action. Im sure anyone of us wouldnt mind giving you a ride aroudn the track to show you what its like.
