Spin Out

Started dusting off the Fiero GT to compete in the $2008 GRM Challenge.
Anyone here thinking about going?

Spent actual money on new polly bushings. Just need time to get them on the car.
Oh and I picked up a K&N air filter at a swap meet. That's got to be good for 50-60 HP.
I'm guessing the car will still come in at about $1,600.

Right now I'm planning to ask Danny Shields to autocross it at the event.
Hopefully I can get him some seat time before hand.
That means I need to learn how to drag race. How hard could that be?

I was (am) working on a Turbo Omni for The Challenge with my dad, but it appears it actually takes longer to build the car with his help. Go figure.
Any one here with an 80 year old parent understands completely.

Anyone read the article about last year's winner? If I remember corectly they paid to fly in Danny Popp 2 times to test the car. If it ain't on the car, it ain't in the budget.
