If it's requested I can Prepare a NavX Rally but I don't think we are quite there yet. Perhaps after "Teh Tarmac Terror" which I intend to start introducing our Navigators to diffrent styles. I'll post a poll

For anyone Following this thread I was able to find some hand held With back light atomic clocks which would work great Velcro'd to the dashboard, we operate our event synced to atomic clock so it's only logical that it'll help someone score better. best thing they are on sale at Radio Shack for $14
Display seconds AND run in 24 hour mode... sounds like the perfect rally clock if you have a rally computer it'll make a terrific backup in case your computer loses power.
Radio Shack Catalog # 63-170
Works good, and our checkpoint workers will be scoring to them. the backlight is a bonus for night rallies

Is there anywhere I can go read up on exactly how this type of rally racing is done? That breaks down timing and all the different parts you guys are talking about? Its my first one, and I'm kinda lost I don't want to show up and be completely ignorant of whats going on.

Great Mike now have you learned the auto-calibration function on the Alfa yet? If there is ONE function of the Alfa you learn by Sunday it's autocal. you navagator has to be REALLY good to use the CAS functions on the Alfa but if he can you'll be a Zero-Hero. but just knowing the exact. mileage to the thousandth you can pretty much drive the course without looking at the road. 90 right in 050 040 030 020 010 Turn!
