Default Chevy Rev It Up 2007

I want to say congrats do Dan Shields for winning the Orlando event tonight. I ended up 17th fastest for the night which put me into the shootout, with some VERY experienced drivers and several national champions, and I coned both runs How did everyone else do?

Wow! Very nice. I saw danny 13th or 14th, glad to see he didn't get bumped off. Keith (local autocrosser with bmwcca) was right behind him, hopefully he did well too

I only got in 1 run due to the event running 2+hours behind and having to go to dinner.

Got a 40.9 in the wet... index was 35.something.

Could have probably shaved 2 seconds off on a second run but I doubt that would have been good enough for anything.

I ran 37.xx just after dark in the wet, a 38 probably wouldn't have made it. I hear you on the food, my poor g/f was starving but there's no way was I leaving before the shootout. It would've been interesting if they would've turned off TCS for the final...everyone certainly had the experience for it. When it kicked in it was brutal though

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

I'm not sure if Keith made the shootout. Danny almost got bumped himself, ended up 24th. Did you want his shootout time in the Corvette or his time in the Cobalt? I have some pics of the leaderboard.

I believe Keith was just behind him before I left, they were like 13th and 14th.
