The Cavalier was a full race car driven by a much more experienced driver. Not sure who actually owns the car... they said it was rented? Also not sure how it was prepped. Looked like a 2.4 Ecotec, she said it didn't make any power below 5k, so it surely wasn't stock. Interior was gutted, side and rear windows were Lexan, etc.

Definitely not your typical Cavalier.

I got a good laugh when they told me they lost to a girl in a cavalier.

The car was an ex mototola (speedvision) world challenge car.

Built by WTF engineering, Who were a group of GM engineers.

and had we been a little more aware in the begining of the event we would have dominated this car.

How was the GSC supra I want to do this man, looks so exciting.

Im close too, that supra was scary stock, and it managed alright, esp. considering some of its competition/cost!

They Did well, first in Small Bore class and 3rd overall if I recall. The mistake many people make is thinking this event is all about horsepower. It's about longevity, and relialbility. and except for a clutch problem I think they did well. Anyone can Make Gobs of power, but have it streetable and reliable for 16 races and 5000 street miles is a diffrent thing.

It still sounds funny, Jeff!

Ya'll did a great job, though.

How does one get through the process of entering OLA and NOT comprehend this?

They did, and if this is in reference to my statement, i understand how it works. Nothing short of a wheel bearing was an issue. The defective 5800 dollar clutch gave them hell, and some defective michelins. The car really only had a problem with the wheel bearing, everything else was a defective part/parts. I believe they won the class they were in and placed 3rd overall, i could be mistaken. I think the website is www.gscmotorsports.com/onelap , but ill check on that to be sure.

Must be good fun in anything, and i would like to go out and do it regardless of my positioning.

Congrats. That's a darn fine performance for a first-year effort. Probably want to give it a few weeks to sink in, but right now how are you feeling about a repeat next year?
