We did have one guest driver whos P car didnt show.. # 92 did a 56.381

We had some setbacks with Rain and the volume of vehicles. It was a learning experience. We will never go over 50 cars again.

The next one is in Aug or Sept.. TBD>. at Zeph hills hosted by Porsche.

Thanks for posting this. I finally posted a video of my fastest run in my "boxster".

Thanks for hosting the event, and a special thanks for letting me run. I am sure we were both explaining a lot on Sunday.

Yeah, things get hairy when you have more drivers than you're prepared for. That's why we've set the NASA limit at 60 cars. It's a comfortable number that allows us to always give a good number of runs without pulling our hair out.

Yep Danny was hurting sunday, he had messed up his back.

Paul is always out at these events and quite a good driver. Its good that some one is giving Danny a run for FTD.. Also the 914 is highly modded. The only original part of this car is the floors.. Body is all glass, Tube chassis.. Its been lightened alot.

So there is only a 3 sec time Diff. between the clubs. Therefore the next one at Zeph hills can decide who gets the trophy.

I had fun and after having my last 3 runs with DSC off I got a little more comfortable pushing car. Really looking forward to improving at the next event; I think my time included 1 cone hit, so 2 seconds off would have put me down near the other E46 M3's. Don't think I am doing too bad for being a noob out there.

I am glad we have these kinds of events to go out to, otherwise I'm not sure how else I could really enjoy my new car it should really shine if I can get out to the Chin event in Sebring next month.

I will have video of a run of mine up tommorow.

Is a Mini really a BMW?

I know Minis are made/owned by BMW but does it say BMW anywere on the car? Just for the record.

One thing that also slowed things down was the workers not resetting cones that had been knocked over fast enough. When the P-car group was working the course, a BMW would hit a cone, the workers would not see it hit and not respond. We would call over on the radio and tell them there is a cone down. They would run out on course while the second car is headed toward them. That car would than need to be red flagged and sometimes the next car had started and that one needed to be red flagged too. This happened more this time than I've ever seen. It just burns up time with reruns.

Overall it was a very fun event. The BMW guys do a very good job.

Thank you Russ for letting me drive the 318ti it was a whole new experience and I can't wait to move up my hatch to Hoosiers next season or at least something similar

I really enjoyed the event and if BMW needs another female driver at the next event, I hope that I can drive for them again

It was a fun course with its difficulties

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.
