Default Video From GCAC 6/4/06

I just thought I would share. This is my fastest run of the day, taking SM2 by 3.4 seconds. I am beginning to get the car tuned as I want it, and my tires are just getting broken in, but the nut behind the wheel definately needs more tuning. I didn't PAX well, I am about 2 seconds slower than I would like to be.

Jamal had a nasty spin on his first run. He corded one of his rear tires and nearly hit the fence! I asked him to post the video for a laugh.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

Nice run Brian! Wish I could say the same for me! Car was so loose with these old 710s!

Video of scary spin! (~17 Megs) It almost sounds like VTEC kicked in going into that turn which made the spin worse!

Result of spin!

New rear 710s on order, hopefully they'll be ready before Sunday!

Damn. I assure you my heavy and street-tired WRX would have been firmly entangled in that fence.

Nice run, Muddy.

Hahaha...

yeah, when the "tread" lines go away on V710s, there's NOTHING left.

I think Jamal learned that the hard way, Jesse.

Indeed...looked like a fun course. Also looks like the little wobble a few seconds before the spin probably put the finishing touches onto the then overheated and worn out V710s.

I found out myself

By the way Brian...this is what you always forgot, NEVER LIFT if it's about to spin!
