There are errors in the files. But you get the idea.

Thanks, I was wondering where I could find them.
I really appreciate it.

Did the helicopter take a run?

How does a novice in a BMW 330 run a 42.1 yesterday? Maybe an instructor? I guess that's why these results are "unofficial", though.

If he really ran that time, it might be time for me to hang up my helmet!

Thanks for posting these so quick, w0rd. You're the only one who attempts to get the results on the web ASAP instead of us having to wait weeks to see the results at the cfrsolo2 site.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

Which is exactly why an auto-x is a great place to flog the crap outta your car and learn. Cone marks buff out! I preach that to the students I mentor. Better than them racing on the streets.

That was cool. For those not there, we had a couple land a helicopter near paddock and the occupants co-drove a new Lancer EVO. I hope those people never come back though. Bunch of slackers.

It was a phantom time, and we couldn't even find it in the computer to delete it. It was probably Gary Merideth's instructor run. It was dropped for the trophy presentation.

No, he couldn't make it. We still had a great event Sunday even without his awesome leadership skills.

Looking at the previous events results, other than the State championships, this is the largest event the SCCA has ever hosted at Brooksville. Cool.

Might have been the same people who landed a chopper at the Porsche club event at Zephyrhills in April (23rd I think). I wanted to go take the chopper for a spin while I was out working.

Christy graduated from USF on Saturday, and we had my daughter's 6th birthday party on Sunday (I got her one of these.) So I missed my first CFR West SCCA event in nearly three years of autocrossing. I hear that things went reasonably well despite a number of setbacks. Hope everyone had a good time.
