Were you sitting in the main section of grand stands in front of the Red Bull pit? At least one of the pictures was taken in that area. If so, I was probably about 20 feet away from you. Nice pics. I attended that event almost entirely for the World Challenge TC race. It's especially enjoyable to watch the Mazdas beat up on the Acuras and BMWs. Did you see that Audi take off at the start of the race? It was great to watch that young guy, Chip Herr battling it out with the old veteran, Randy Pobst. Glad to see a few pictures of the Tri Point Mazdas. I didn't take my camera.

 

Mr. Herr in the audi acutally got a DQ after the post race inspection for having an illegal intake manifold i believe. So the acura moved up into second place.

Pobst also said in the interview that starting in the front position didnt help out because he lost traction from the finish line paint.

 

Yeah, I was in grandstand 5 section e. Right next to a couple of very excitable (and rather drunk) hispanic guys. They were a blast.
